When meeting Maija & Kellan for the first time even thought it was just a week before their wedding, we knew immediately that they were going to be a great couple to work with, seeing that they were so friendly, and seemingly ready for anything. Most of the time we meet our clients about a year before their event, but since they live in Finland we had the excitement of meeting them and photographing their engagement session the week of their event.
The idea for Maija & Kellan’s engagement session was thrilling because they wanted to do something different for their session, by showing off their sporty side while looking great doing it! We have never had the chance to showcase individual talents during an engagement session and we think it was a brilliant idea that turned out beautiful! Of course the fact that Maija & Kellan are professional athletes helped them pull off some of the images so flawlessly.
After capturing their sporty side we wanted to show their softer side at the beach since that is the theme of their wedding. These two are so stunning it was hard to capture a bad image of them at Crystal Cove.
